More About Africa

Africa’s economy is considered pretty diverse and varied in its own sense. It seems to have two contradicting sides. This is with having the poorest region, Zimbabwe; as well as the most successful diamond and gold resource, Botswana and South Africa.

The only thing about Africa to consider is the rampant corruption in their government bodies. If this can be eliminated, there will be more progress in Africa. Thus, instead of getting mainly financial support for the distribution of food and the like for the most depressed communities in Africa; the best help they can receive is to build infrastructures in Africa. If there will be factories, or more establishments in some areas they have; these people will have jobs. What the government can offer is very cheap labor. Of course, not all parts of Africa can be developed. With its rich natural landscapes; and the many animals that thrive on these lands, most parts of Africa are better off untouched by modernization.

During the 1800s, the ACT or the Australian Capital Territory was conceived through the consequent federation of conventions. This brought about the neutral location; which paved the means for a better National Capital. Thus, during the 1901 federation, The Australian direct constitution stated that land would then be ceded towards the new and revised Federal Government. It was in 1911 when New South Wales transferred the Territory towards the Commonwealth. This act led to the construction of their capital sometime 1913; which is now more known as Cranberra. The Trending Market of the Mainland Territories of Australia

The territories of Australia, from a direct constitutional perspective, are still subjected to the actual Commonwealth government. The power to legislate in these territories would need to come from the actual Australian Parliament.

Although most of these territories are being administered by the supposed Commonwealth government, the major three can administer it themselves. The three would be the Australian Capital Territory, the Norfolk Island and the Northern Territory.

The Australian Parliament

For the administration of the Australian Parliament on Australia’s self-governing territories, it actually retains the whole legislative power and can even override the laws being made by these territorial institutions. Thus, this is only done on very rare occasions.

The Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory are both treated as actual states. This is being upheld by the Australian intergovernmental parties. Hence, the actual distribution of these supposed powers between these territories and the Commonwealth is more different from the distribution amongst the states and the Commonwealth. As for the Northern Territory, it is the Commonwealth who retains the supposed power so as to administer the uranium mining and the Aboriginal lands directly. These are powers it does not assume out of respect to Australia’s states.
